Ray began his career 17 years ago as a fitness instructor and lifeguard. He later became an ISSA Personal Trainer Level 3 and spent two years in Australia to further develop his skills. During this time, he earned Certificates 3 & 4 in Fitness and became a SNA-accredited sports nutritionist in Australia. Ray also achieved the Precision Nutrition Master Coach qualification.
Ray is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach with The Poliquin Group and a Certified Movement Specialist and Barefoot Training Specialist. Throughout his career, Ray has always been self-employed, gaining extensive experience on gym floors in England, Australia, Canada, Spain, and Ireland. His passion for travel allowed him to learn from experts, cultures, sports teams, and the global fitness industry. Ray is also a Certified Online Trainer and has invested in mentors to learn their successful business, sales, and marketing strategies, and the life of an entrepreneur. This has shaped him into a competent coach, enabling him to help other coaches by sharing the knowledge he has gained.
Ray's goal was to build an online business to achieve the freedom of being his own boss. This journey included earning two Master’s degrees while supporting himself through his online business. Ray had to master self-promotion in gyms and online, which led him to mentor other coaches about the importance of understanding high-ticket sales and business operations. Like many professionals, Ray started with a passion for fitness and expanded to help others sell high-ticket programs and gain more freedom in their lives.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the gym Ray worked at closed down unexpectedly, he took the leap to support coaches full-time. He taught them how to become self-sufficient, build a solid foundation, market themselves effectively, and create a career that doesn't demand all of their time. Ray understands the journey of both successful coaches and those who struggle. He believes that treating a coaching career like a business and learning how to operate and market it effectively is crucial for long-term success.
